If the theme does not insert too much duplicate content between sites it'll be fine. If all your boilerplate is duplicate, then it'll likely raise flags.
Also too many sites that look the same tend to be easy to catch and carpet ban.

Same theme with different content will never bother your work. But I must say if you use the different theme which is unique will help you to get the ranking soon. Because sometimes people will confuse will the same theme and they thought this is the same website they have visited before. And they leave without interactive with your services or products.
