Its been 3 days since Telegram Founder has been arrested for letting Telegram to be used for illegam and criminal activites..

Whats the future of Telegram now? What could make Telegram better and legally usableso it wont be banned in more countries?

I personally think , increasing the transparency and content moderation can make it legit.. Scammers or criminals who use it in illegal and immoral ways should be traced out easily.

Lets see, what do you guys think?

I don't think Telegram will be removed. Way too many people use this app for it to be removed

Since Pavel Durov won't submit to the global dictatorship that demands he betray users and hand over data to the thought police, he's doomed to disappear, unlike Musk who, contrary to appearances, is very docile with the (real) people in (real) power. The fight against criminal garbage is just a ridiculous pretext. If that were the real objective, they'd be asking for targeted data, plus there are an infinite number of other ways of dismantling the networks the mainstream press is talking about.

I should not be removed or i think there is no possible way to remove it its used for Good purpose may be 0.5 % people may use it un legal its not good to say bad about telegram because for most of the friends its a milestone for successful to there business growth

Currently, there is no indication that the legitimate Telegram app will be removed from the Google Play Store. However, Google recently took action to remove several malicious clones of Telegram that were infected with spyware

I wish it would, but doubt it will.
I never had a Telegram account and I'm not a fan of Durov. But I wonder why you wish Telegram would be removed. The French are very aware of this being a political operation against freedom of speech, and designed to muzzle any criticism of the government in power.

I seriously doubt that, most probably some other CEO is gonna come and try to establish a few new rules, I don't see it being as "freeing" as it is right now, might have some oversight imposed or something, just my 2 cents

It might on a surface agree to be more transparent, do content moderation, etc., but virtually stay the same. Even if the worst happens, Signal could be an alternative although it lacks public channel feature.

I really don't care about whether it being a political arrest or anything else. I don't care about the arrest itself, nor did I know who is this guy before today.
I just think that too many bad actors hide behind TG's built-in scam-friendly features and it's about time we grow out of this stupid service.

I understand your point but it goes directly against what telegram was created in the first place.
How would you even impose moderation on a platform that is end to end encrypted.

Besides, isn't there illegal activity on facebook, instagram etc, which are all heavily moderated platforms? The same principle applies to most techonologies. Take the internet or blockchain, both are great tools but there are many illegal things happening on them, should they be banned?

I remember the same kind of situation happened to Facebook and Instagram for illegal things and affects the generation

But what is the solution now, Instagram is the new search Engine for the GenZ generation

If Google bans it, Telegram can always be found on aptoid or etc :)
