Will stuff listed in other countries sell?

If I am selling items through a Singapore eBay account, will I get the same amount of business as if I were listing from a US account?

I figure it's a lot easier to have a stealth account from another country then from the US, and there is probably little to no verification means.

What do you guys think?

I'm gonna be doing primarily DVD box sets.

I seen some hong kong ebay accounts have tons of sales competing with us accounts so I guess it might work. It can also fail at first since it will turn off buyers since they might think shipping will take ages.

Maybe you can add on the description "Ships from our New York wharehouse" or something along the lines

Do you also have a Singapore ip? ebay will notice you are logging in with a US IP with a signapore IP and get banned.

If you state you ship from NY and in fact you ship from Singapore then this could become a problem because your buyers will have to pay custom duty and they have not been informed about this ..... So this also might end up in negative feedback ....

You won't get the same results. I know, because I've done it.

I sell products from China. I once had my employees log into PayPal and list items for me that were so low, I thought I would sell them all within a week. Instead, I made maybe one or two sales. So, I take all of those items and sell them myself on eBay here in the U.S. then all of a sudden I started making a lot of sales.

Will stuff listed in other countries sell?
