Will pinging old links help

Recently one of my sites went down for 48~ hours (Hostgator issue).
My domain was sitting pretty well for 9 different keywords but since that downtime it fell down at least 20 positions.
Will pinging all my old links help regain some of the lost rank?

have you google site:yoursite.com ?


Pingin works for external links and as well as internal, so do both see if that helps
