Hey BHs,

If you sell on a forum using multiple PayPal accounts and someone calls up PayPal and reports you, will you get limited?

Thanks

I would NOT recommend this. Why use more than account in the first place? Seems a bit too shady.

Well, i know it is shady, but would i get limited?

If paypal finds out you are using multiple accounts I doubt they will limit you, chances are they will just close your accounts altogether. I am pretty sure you are only allowed one business account and one personal account. They find you with more than that and they will probably terminate you completely.

Nothing is not very often cut in stone. Not this either - I would bet my right nut they would terminate you if they found out :-)

What are the chances of someone reporting you to PayPal based on forum sales?

I imagine unless you start screwing people over or something not very high. Do most people even keep track of what paypal account a seller is using? I would imagine not.

The real question you have to ask yourself is the risk worth whatever benefit you think you are going to get. Keep in mind somebody reporting you is not the only way that paypal can find out you have multiple accounts. At any point you slip up and they connect the accounts then you are out whatever money you have in the accounts. Plus the fact that all your incoming business is dead in the water. Seems to me the benefits would have to be pretty big to go that route.

No, my other two accounts are banned already.. but will people go into my forums posts from 2009 and dig into to find out that my username(s) were selling with different pp accounts?

I would say the chances of that happening are pretty low. The biggest thing to be careful of is paypal themselves connecting the accounts.

Just curiosity on my part but how did you manage to get two paypal accounts banned?

First one because i wasn't verified and started dropshipping with amounts like 12k per day (herbal incense) and they thought i was too risky *fuck that* and the second one was closed because some retarded noobs started doing chargebacks and there was low balance

Actually its not that much simple for any one to judge if you are using multiple Paypal account, because you can add up to 8 (eight) email addresses with one account.

chances are pretty high

Really? Why do you think so? I find it hard to believe that very many people would go back a couple of years and try to compare paypal account info on a vender. I have purchased lots of stuff using paypal and as long as I get what I ordered I never really pay any attention to the persons account information. Now if somebody tried to stiff me on an order I might do some digging but other than that I can just not imagine very many people bothering. Not saying nobody would but as there is always that one person but I see the chance of paypal connecting the accounts by themselves as a higher risk.
