Hey,

Let's say I have an e-commerce website with a Paypal gateway and selling products that are against Paypal's TOS. Now I'm wondering will they ever manually check my shop to see what I'm selling as long as nobody reports me?

Thanks

Yep. My website has been checked after 2 years, and all Paypal accounts associated with me have been permanently blocked.

As long as literally no one reports you, and if you don't go too crazy with it, they shouldn't do it, there is still a chance, but really small.

If your store gets reported, yes, it will get reviewed and they can ban you.

This doesn't just happen when stores getting reported.

It'll also happen at various thresholds based on the revenue your website is generating. But this is pretty normal for payment process since it's required by their banks and underwriters.

Once you start processing substantial amounts they'll check it for sure. Every payment processor does it. Depending on what they like/dislike they may ask for some documents and/or put some kind of hold on your balance. So keep withdrawing your money regularly.
