Will old content rank?

Hi,
I know google loves fresh content and "Content is King".
My question is will old content rank?
The content is of decent quality and is having new back-links built for it.

Dude just write your content and post it. Why would you post old content without editing it in the first place anyways?

No, what I mean is if the content is not updated for a long period of time will that eventually hurt its ranking? Because of how it is known that Google loves fresh content.

You can edit it up. Post a new paragraph. I'm not going to say exactly how long the new paragraph should be, but at least 300 words. I added a new 500 word paragraph to one of my pages and it jumped up 10 spots a week later.

I have old post dated 2015, I have changed it to 2017

Lol no... the content has age and it will rank better than whatever fresh stuff. Age of the content itself is one of the most important SEO factors.

The fresh content thing is very niche specific. You can do searches and find old posts ranking just fine. I have niche sites that I have not updated in years and they are still ranking. However you should still be building links to your old pages to keep them at the top.

Try that content Copyscape passed or not..if it wouldn't don't use it and make the unique one for your site

old contact will index and be fine.

the only difference is you need to make sure it not duplicated words in the content and cheek it in copyscape ..

your be fine.

I use expired articles all the time it fine...

Yes old content will still rank. If it has drop in ranking, you can still improve it by updating the content and building more backlinks and promote it.
