So basically I used uppbeat background music that I found in a google drive for my video. Which I’m about to upload on YouTube, but something is bothering me I’m scared that I might get copyright strikes on my channel because I don’t have an account with the website Uppbeat and I didn’t download the song from their website.

So you guys should please clarify and tell me wether I can still use the song I’m not monetizing the channel anyways.

What is the copyright status of their work? Only thing you can use to be safe is audio that is under a license that allows for it. Since you're not monetizing the channel I don't see much issue giving it a try at
worst the video will be muted.

Don't use this music. YT is very strict in its rules.

you most likely wont get banned after one time but you should absolutely avoid that
I’ll definitely avoid it next time. I’m not monetizing the website I just wanna promote some stuff and I really love that background music

Also i forgot to tell you that you most likely get fewer organic views

Just because I use an uppbeat music

The music is free anyways I just don’t have an account with them

If you are not monetizing the channel then don't need to be worry at all. Copyright strikes only allows the striker to claim your video's revenue, which you have none. Youtube won't ban your account for this reason.

YouTube Studio's Library has many good upbeat songs that are free to use. I usually pick from those. Making sure my channel is safe is more important than using music I personally like.

Actually a copyright strike might make the platform remove your whole video if the original owner doesn't want to make money from it.

If you get a copyright strike, it means that a copyright owner submitted a legal copyright removal request for using their copyright-protected content. When a copyright removal request is submitted to us, we review it. If the removal request is valid, we have to remove your video from YouTube to comply with copyright law.

if is not free copyright done't even try it, is not worth the risk, you might avoid it some time but later might get strike, better go safe, search for free upbeats.

the simplest advice is the best - if your not 100%
sure about the music, then switch it out

Thanks for all the advice I’m gonna use it and see how YouTube reacts
