I have 34k followers on IG and today suddenly they forced me to verify it by sending a verification code to my mobile number.
What is that all about?

Perhaps there was some suspicious behaviour. Are you running it manually or with a bot?

I wouldn't be worrying, I have accounts that have received multiple phone verifications and haven't been banned. You probably did something recently that they thought was suspicious but the vast majority of the time nothing happens.

They probably think something fishy is going on with the account. If i were you i would quickly go ahead and verify it with the code sent to your mobile phone.
