Will it be considered as a paid link?

I have made a search widget for my website and placed it on other website related to my website to improve my traffic. I want to track the traffic from that widget. If I put tracking codes in that widget, Google will detect this. So, I am not sure if Google will consider this widget as a paid link. Please help me with this. Thanks.

Its hard to say how Google will interpret this. They look at things like the site where the link is coming from, your overall link profile, and how fast your profile is growing. Can they really take a look at a domain and be able to tell if you bought a link? I would think not unless that site was notorious for participating in such activities. My guess is that you would be ok as long as things stay looking natural.
