Will I make money online?

Hey, everyone!

I'm glad to be here and have the opportunity to learn all the good stuff I found in this forum. There's been some months since I created this account, but I haven't taken the chance to say a few words of hello or comment in any thread yet. Actually, today was the first day I really explored the content, and got so excited with the possibilities I started to realize that I decided to get more involved in the community and may be lucky to find some support from you, and, why not, share some useful information that may help others in the future too.

My name is Lincoln and I've just left the team I was working with. Now, I need to get back freelancing to create a new source of income. I work as a copywriter in Brazil. But now I'm feeling insecure to approach prospects or send traffic to my WhatsApp to schedule a meeting with them. I feel I need more proof of my abilities. Although I've written a lot of emails, sales pages, ads and other things during the time I was in the team, the expert used to edit the campaigns so much that I don't feel confident enough to judge my competence and come up with a price that fits my true value. How much can I make my clients profit? I'm not so sure. Also, I asked the expert if I could use the campaigns I wrote as a portfolio, and he hesitated… So, I don’t know.

Well, being here is part of a hope to learn and find answers, both to learn good ways to prospect new clients and to build my own funnels that can create cash flows I could use to grow and to prove my authority.

I will keep studying and eventually I’ll create a thread where I can share my attempts and get nice feedback from you guys!

It can be very difficult to make money online, but if you keep at it then you will always improve your chances of success and learn lots of new skills! Good luck.

I would suggest you to learn developer skills as they are highly in demand in terms of remote or online working.
If you have past work portfolio then you can try fiverr, upwork and freelancer. Also, this forum also helps you to find remote work. Well, the three mentioned platform requires a good portfolio in order to get a contract. My bad luck is that I am not having a strong portfolio due to not being allowed for the company for which I wrote content. So, I'm currently just trying to upload some work on my personal blogspot so incase any one ask for portfolio, I can suggest that.

Same here. I have some good work to display in a portfolio, but he guy I worked to didn't seem to like the idea.

Well, I admit I don't feel like fighting for gigs as I've done before, as I still watch people do in those platforms. Also, I don't know if it changes much from country to country, but here in Brazil sounds interesting and professional to practice my copy skills with my prospects, since what I sell is virtually the same, help people clear out their marketing funnels, make deeper and more effective offers, profit more.

I intend to approach them after studying their strategy, then give them a gift, something they really can use, then set a meeting to show them exactly that, what I did to reach them, and the principles I believe they should use to reach their own prospects.
