Will i get paid by CB even after discount popup window?

Hi,

i am trying to promote CB products. Lots of them have this discount offering pop-up window if you try to close their page saying: Wait, dont go away, we will give you 10$ discount!

My question is - will i get my commision if people decide to buy after this discount offer? And if yes, will my commision be lower?

Hi! Yes, you will get your commission, but... your commission will be lowest, because they pay less than the original price.

You should still get the commission as long as the tracking is set up properly with the exit pop-ups. And like me8626 said you're commission will be even lower because they normally offer discounts to keep their customers from leaving the website and not purchasing.

But I guess making less commission is better than making no commission that's why I never complain when a vendor has an exit popup on their landing page.

Exit pop ups convert well the people who think the product does not worth the price tag. And some people already know the pop ups and use it to get a discount. Affiliate commission is the percentage of the generated sale so whatever the final price is, you will get a percentage of it. That's ok. You can't get everybody and getting something is better than getting nothing.

But i have another question - will you get commission from a visitor who came through your aff link and filled his email into an opt-in box directly on CB vendors page and decides to buy after he got promo email (means after he clicks link in vendors promo email)? I highly doubt it....
