Will I ever be able to edit posts?

I know that editing posts can be used illicitly, but it is an important feature for me. For example I have a post in the Downloads section, but I can't edit the download link to a newer version. Or I can't delete my old posts that are out dated. Will for example Jr. Vips be able to do this?

Edit: I know you can edit posts within 1h (?) of posting, but that's not the point

Nopo, only mods can edit posts after 15 minutes.

I just feel like I have zero control over my own content here, because I can't even delete my own posts if I wanted to and mods can edit my posts without permission. Oh well, I guess it's the price of this unique community

You can request your own posts to be deleted if you really need it. As for download section, most people know to go to the last page to find updated links so nbd. Don't take it personally, for every 100 people who won't abuse it 1000 will.

This is something you should consider when posting content;it’s the same on most Internet forums as well as many other online platforms; once you out content out there it’s available indefinitely.

If it’s something like a download link that is dead, you can report the post that contains an updated link and we’ll update the opening post (at our discretion).

For the record though, we don’t edit, remove or alter content unless it breaks one or more rules so you don’t need to worry about mods “editing your posts without permission” assuming you’re complying with the rules.
