Well i have changed the domain of my blog/forum/website and redirected every page by 301 redirect via .htaccess and notified goole by webmaster tools. Will it think my content as copied? If yes, then what to do?

I don't recall exactly, but if you followed all the Google guidelines, you should be back to normal in less than a month. just check every night your webmaster control panel for errors and fix them fast.

I don't expect the dupe problem being an issue

Dupe problem is only a problem if you're copy and pasting the same content across multiple pages on the same site.

Many news stories are syndicated, yet those sites don't get slapped. Same for just about all other types of content...

I think that what you're doing is right. Using a 301 redirect is sort of saying to google that your content has moved to a new page. Hopefully it'll get sorted out soon. :)

Incorrect, but has some validity ...

the dupe posting slap is mostly noted on individual sites with little or no authority or history. it's not a big penalty ( on the 200 items they check for ) but it is a penalty that add's up quickly.

News sites have some much content that is original that those weigh in more than the dupes, Plus google can make a modification to the weighing system for news site ( content generators ) so that the dupe penalty won't apply.

Tested this a ton of times, first one that get's scanned from Google and has the most current file date wins. weird but that is what I have as valid currently.

Don't even worry about dupe content. I have auto blogs that are 100% scraped crap and they rank just fine, focus on other offsite SEO like link building and you wont even notice a penalty.

I've moved domains a couple of times and the 301 is the way to go. The search engines understand domains move and the 301 is what keeps them straight. You should not get any penalties related to dupe content.

I have redirected every page old old site to this by placing this code in .htaccess -
    Options +FollowSymLinks
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule (.*) http://gadgetgoat.net/$1 [R=301,L]
