Some bellend has posted a fraudulent negative review to a page I manage.
It skirts around the edges of legality so I would probably have trouble getting it removed on slanderous grounds ect. It is completely out of keeping with other google reviews and those listed on other third party sites for the place in question.

The account profile was brand new (around the Middle of March) and the person posted around 10 similiar negative reviews for firms across a wide swathe of England. Profile is also very light no other information, photo's or videos or interaction. It seems the profile was made to construct negative reviews only, maybe a black hat exercise I don't know.

Has anyone had any success in getting google to remove these and how would one go about it?

All constructive replies welcome as are offers of review swops if my only option is to bury this down the review list!!

I think your best bet is to push it out of the SERPS by ranking other pages or reviews above it. Google seems to only remove reviews if it's court ordered

If it is new google business account, might be easier to delete the account and start over?

Just serves to show what a crock of shit the google reviews filter is. Brand new account no other info or activity on it and 10 negative reviews dropped for various businesses.

create new fresh acount :)

Not an option I am afraid. Account is aged and well optimised. 18 good reviews already upon just this 1 poor one.
Already showing in no1's positions in quite a few local packs for a number of well paying kw's, so for obvious reasons I wouldn't want to jeopardise that.

Anyone up for review swops (well maintained and aged go+ profiles)?
