will google penalize if i do that for my site which is same niche as my competitor & sells same products?

Google doesn't care about keywords. It reads meta description, title and the actual content on your website. Don't copy those.
PS: Find better way to drive traffic because you dont know s**t about SEO and you'll never rank.
 
Why would google want to protect your competitor? You can definitely copy the keywords.

I dont think it will harm your site, copying KWs is fine as long as you dont copy other things from your competitor. Proceed with no doubts, make the on-page content outstanding.
 
Tactic as old as universe itself. Of course you should copy your competitors keywords. He is ranking for them and you can rank for them too, possibly above him if you do your job right.

Every keyword research is about copying keywords of your competitors in the end.

Absolutely not. You should be copying as many competitors' keywords as you can though, don't go after one poor guy!
