Will getting a VPS/VPN fix this problem?

Hey BHW haven't posted in a few months, been learning to code and playing way to much xbox360 (mw3)

Anyways I have been programming a bot and as I analyze the HTTP traffic, it seems my ISP has blocked my http requests to the site. I have been doing alot of testing without changing my IP, so I guess the site complained...not really sure since it works fine if I use firefox.

So I added proxy support really quickly to my prototype bot (should have done this from the beginning, I know...)

...seems the http requests are still somehow being blocked by my ISP. (sigh)

Will purchasing a VPS/VPN and prototyping/running bots from there fix the problem?? Also whats the difference between VPN/VPS. Thanks.

a vps is a shared server you rent out while a vpn is like an encrypted proxy from your computer to another ip address

You answered half my question Still need to know if a VPN will solve the issue with my ISP blocking http requests to a specific site I have been trying to make a bot for.

Also, what is the best BH VPN?? Or are they all fine for BH stuff? Would prefer non-us hosted

Dude do more testing it doesnt sound like your isp is the problem if it works from firefox. Look at the code, make sure that you are removing cookies, flash cookies, changing user agents, and changing the ips. Then report your findings here. I think you will solve your problem that way. A VPN or a VPS will give u access to a new ip that s it. I dont think that is your problem.

But my ISP is the problem..when I look at the http traffic log from my prototype bot...it shows a page from my ISP saying to call them.

I haven't been rotating ips/user agents because I was just testing it, wasn't even spamming, just alot of logging in, and created probably about 10 accounts which is what I'm guessing caused the complaint. Lots of this sites code is in JS, and some of it even mentions anti-bot related functions. Pretty sure my IP got flagged/automatically reported, but I could be wrong.

Anyways thanks for the help...what is a good BH VPN?? Like hosted in Russia or China

Could be you ISP and not you IP. Look at the differences between Firefox and your bot. There in could lie the root of all your problems.
