Or other AI article generators?

Because so far, it is really creating great unique content for me.

Will it always be free?

Will it kill Google and be the next huge thing?

Will it replace coders since it can do all the basic coding and even sometimes they say it can solve big problems.

Give this clickbait tittle to one of "your" articles :D

Won't be free forever, this is not wikipedia

Google is a search engine, an AI tool isn't a competitor to a search engine

"coders" won't be replaced for a long long time, actually they will be the last one to be replaced in the upcoming "robotised" world.

who invent this word? ai kill google?? lol
how it do that in the first place?

Google is just platform, heck google use ai for almost all it's operation, even the webfilled with ai content, you think consumer care?
they just care what they see read and enjoy they don't care where it come from.

I think there will be use cases where AI tools will take over.
But at the same time I think that 1) Google will not give up so easily and 2) There will still be a need for search engines.
I don't think that ChatGPT will take over everything, just like social media has not taken over everything.

My question is: How do you think this will impact 'brick and mortar'/physical companies that barely have an online presence? And where is ChatGTP getting their info from? Will companies that have no / a bad website be indexed and used in replies that ChatGTP sends? Perhaps it will become even more important with an online presence now, because if your company is not mentioned in the first paragraph of ChatGTP - how will you ever get customers?

Just thinking out loud.

Over the past few days I've found myself using chatGPT for a lot of things that I would've used Google for.

I prefer it because rather than me having to find a random website on Google that is relevant and also gives me the answer to my question is much harder than just asking chatGPT.

I don't think it will kill Google but I can see Google taking a hit for sure.

I think as it is now, sometimes you just want a 'good enough' answer, and ChatGPT may just as well supply you with that.
If you must have the most factual answer there is, then google and do the research.
If the factual result does not really matter, then ChatGPT is very convenient.
I agree, where will this take us in the next few years when the algorithm is more accurate...

Nah it would not kill Google as user prefer google , so the adaptation would surely take time to adapt for users , so it could kill but alot of years could take .

I think it is revolutionary in the sense that the SERP won't exist anymore, you'll just get "the answer" you need.

How was the buzz when these voice-controlled systems came out? Any similarities?
I am talking about Siri, Alexa, and Google Nest.

Yes, they are different software but still, when they came out it sounded to me like the marketing told us it would change the way we use google and the internet. Has it?

Answer from ChatGPT

Q : Will AI really kill Google?
It is unlikely that AI will "kill" Google or any other search engine. While AI technology is advancing rapidly and has the potential to greatly impact many industries, it is unlikely to completely replace search engines in the foreseeable future. Search engines serve a specific and valuable purpose in helping people find information on the internet, and it is unlikely that AI will be able to fully replicate this functionality any time soon. In fact, AI is likely to be used to improve the capabilities of search engines and make them even more useful for people.

It will not always be free, because Sam Altman said the server costs are "eye-watering". They are using us as a crowd-source to polish it right now

How do you expect an AI to kill google?
Do you really see yourself searching websites with an AI?
AI is a great tool but it's nowhere near doing something to google.

They're using social media feedback to close loopholes and insert filters on chatgpt

It's no longer producing content as legit as a week ago and is inserting AI clues/signatures in the text so that its content can be identified.
