Will ChatGPT kill sites like quora, medium and reddit?

The answer is almost certainly no. Since the GPT will provide an article and answers for your search, but the Quora-like platform will offer a variety of opinions for your seek, which you consider is suitable.

I think people using ChatGPT to answer questions on these sites may kill them, not ChatGPT directly

I use chatGPT to answer questions on Quora. But because my prompt-engineering is very effective, what the AI spits out is just a more organized and coherent version of my thoughts.

if they do not improve yes might disapear, but can provide other services, promotions and get people attention, all is on marketing and how you sell the services to people.

Personally, I think it's stupid of people to go on Quora and provide answers from ChatGPT. That site was created for college educated people and working professionals. It wasn't meant to be childish like Yahoo Answers was.

At the current level, unlikely. I think it is still very limited. However, it might very well evolve to a point where it could perfectly well replace at the very least Q&A sites like Quora or Stackoverflow.

And you haven't gotten outdated responses to questions? Some blackhat questions cannot be answered by GPT, even after modifying the prompt.

Quora maybe. But not Reddit, we still look surf that site for real life experience.

not specifically chatgpt per se, but yes. if it isn't obvious already, ai will be incorporated into everything eventually.

the better question to ask is whether that a good thing or not.

Nope, we can clearly say now that chatgpt won't kill any of these sites, especially not Reddit

AI might have answers for a lot of things but it can never relate to personal experiences, which is why it can never replace sites like these.

People visit these sites in search of human interaction, not just answers to common questions....imo

Quora has been generating their own answers at the top using gpt 3(not even 3.5 which is chatgpt) so quora is on the way out. However the backfeed into google with wrong info that google quotes as real is hilarious.

There is a “can you melt an egg” thing that happened which is humorous and shows without original content what can happen.

ChatGPT can answer all questions, people will not need to look for answers on quora, medium and reddit.
It cannot give human like answers so quora abd reddit will not be dead. Medium is already slammed a lot but they can also do well with good moderation.
