I don't know about the rest of the countries in Europe, but in Romania, starting from March this year, electricity prices will AT LEAST double. It depends on what company people will switch to. Some are increasing their prices even 5 times.
Right now, the cheapest price per KWh is 0.18 USD cents. From March, the cheapest will be 0.39 USD cents.
For someone running mining operations in Romania, this will surely affect them.
From what I understand( I have not checked) Norway and Sweden are also ramping up prices on electricity.
For miners, this is murder. Yeah, some have some sort of solar right, but that's like 5% or less of them.
So, this is my opinion.
In March or April, Bitcoin HAS to go up in order to cover miners. It has always been the case.
I'm no guru, no trading hotshot, I don't even hold bitcoin.
It's just an educated guess. For someone who is looking for a high risk high return investment, this would be a good time to buy some BTC. I honestly see BTC at ~$65k, maybe even $70k by June. It has to.
We're not talking about some unvaccinated weirdo mining from his mom's basement. There are companies that run on millions of dollars of loans. They have to pay the loans.
Bitcoin is still young. In 8 years, maybe it will crash, but that's a big maybe. It should hit 300k by that time.
