Will apple search engine replace Google?

As long as people use Android and Chrome, there will not be any replacement at least for the next 3 years.

Then there will be no surprise even if you would be asked to pay to search using apple search engine.
 
That's alot of big boys shoes for Apple to fulfill.
Although, I wouldn't hate it though.
The lesser of multiple evils in this industry....
 
I hope G get some decent competitors and stop playing god mode, because its annoying. They need to feel the market lose and start doing better than making own rules and bombarding you with Ads while getting as much as possible personal data from you.
 
If Apple's search engine goes mainstream, at least we get a chance to diversify traffic
Ahrefs is already working on it

I think it wouldn't, people prefer google much more than unknown apple search engine. But everything depends on users, like you and me)

There are things where Apple is better or has simply implemented it more cleverly. But there are also many things where Apple just doesn't get anything right.

For example, I use an IPhone because I like the cloud and Face ID. With an IPhone there is no hang up, corrupt data, etc. with Android, however, this is very much due to the company. For example, Xiaomi and Samsung have pretty much raped Android. My old Xiaomi just shut down and took hours until I could boot it up again.

Even though I use an IPhone, I still loaded Google Maps, Chrome, etc on it. Because simply works better. Many pages are not optimized for Safari. That's why there are often display bugs or the like.

Think it will be similar with the search function. The Google search engine works (very well), why should people switch? In my eyes, that would only happen if no device had Google as its default search engine overnight. Whereby... even then, people would not do without it.
