Like the title says, what do you think?

Will it exist 5 years from now? 10?

Am I the only one afraid of them shutting it down completely due to the latest commission changes?

Is creating an Amazon affiliate site in 2020 even a long term solution anymore?

I'd love to hear your opinion :)

Of course since it's the easiest way for companies to get sales.

Amazon affiliate website can be long/short term solution!

Even if Amazon affiliate dies, you’ll always have the traffic, age of site, email list, and authority increase throughout the years!

5-10 years can drastically change the Internet world, but there will always be something for us if we have the traffic :)

That's a great answer. I like the way you think and completely agree, although I'm sure it'll be close to impossible for some to monetize their traffic in extremely obscure niches if Amazon were to close down the affiliate program :)

Probably every one in the United State abd many other countries would already be an amazon affiliate

If Amazon was there for the past 25 years and nobody could beat them, then this company will keep getting big and they will just buy-out any of their competitors easily to keep their growth.

Take for example Facebook, look how many companies they bought... WhatsApp, Instagram and many more

I guess that they will keep this affiliate program open but reduce commissions to 1% for all the categories.

It would be absolutely ridiculous to make $10 when you give them sales worth of $1000.

I have never promoted them and never will!

That's what I think will happen. They literally slashed commissions 50% during covid-19.

Personally I don't invest time or money into Amazon websites any longer.

Amazon doesn't need affiliates they have a huge customer contact database.

Amazon don't need affiliates. Affiliates need Amazon.

In next 5-10byears we most likely will have better option than amazon. Earlier adsense was the king, and now i rarely see any of my friend promote them.

If Amazon cut down (or reduce commissions to a very low rate) Affiliate, it'll be replaced will soon.

You can survive, changes happen all the time, big or small of them, just keep being updated!

I actually don't think it will exist. If it does, the commissions will be very low. Plus, many of the top ranked sites for various keywords are affiliate sites and their info is wrong/sucks and they don't provide actual value to readers. I think overtime these sites will eventually become even harder to rank regardless of how many backlinks or PbNs are created.

I really look forward to said alternative.

I remember when Google had their own affiliate network between 2007-2013.

I am sure some big company will appear with high rates and try to compete with the big boys.
