Will Amazon end their affilliate program?

As anyone suggest here, I don't think they even got a plan in doing so. They have solid affiliate users sell for them. So why bother?

Okay smarty, please do a simple Google search and tell me the exact amount they’re loosing on affiliate cookies.

They lowered their affiliate commission, so obviously they felt they were losing too much money via affiliates. Or are you going to argue that they lowered commissions for other reasons?

Yes, they are going to close it. So don’t start a new niche site, it is a terrible idea.
We don’t need more competitions ;)

They lowered their affiliate commission

Why are you avoiding the question? Tell me the exact amount they’re loosing on affiliate cookies. Amazon is a public company and it takes a simple Google search to find the answer.

Amazon is nobody without their affiliate and reviews system.

Its extra money that they often wouldnt have so I cant think of a reason why they would end it

If we simply take off our internet marketers hat and look at Amazon in numbers, this becomes much clearer.

In a 2019 letter to stakeholders, Amazon said:
"third-party sellers make up a bigger share of sales on Amazon's marketplace than Amazon itself, racking up $160 billion to Amazon's first-party retail business' $117 billion in 2018."

The main reason for lowering commissions, was due to the fact they know their dominance and high conversion rates for affiliates vs competitors.

The end of Affiliates would simply crash Amazon to be wroth much less. That's an impossible move anytime soon.

some facts:
1. Amazon is the world's largest e-commerce marketplace
2. Amazon is the largest Internet company by revenue in the world.
3. Amazon s the second largest private employer in the United States.
4. Amazon has "over 900,000 members" in its affiliate programs.
5. Amazon Affiliate Program is used by 1.2% of all websites and it is the second most popular advertising network after Google Ads.

since July 1994, when amazon was founded as an online marketplace for books, they understand that a successful affiliate program is the engine to grow, so they launched its associate program in July 1996 (at that time they were only a few affiliate programs on the internet) amazon even registered patent over some components of their affiliate program. Amazon affiliates program was the first to become widely known and serve as a model for subsequent programs.

so at the bottom line, as long as there is Amazon, there will be Amazon affiliates program...

I’m still waiting for other worldwide retailers to come up with something to beat AA. Would be epic.

Go back and read my post and maybe you'll understand what I said about Amazon revenue being lower. If you still don' understand, I don' know what to tell you as you seem to be more of an IM marketer than a business person.

Second, they cut he commission almost in half, so it seems Amazon wanted 50% of the money it was paying out to go back into their profits. That proves they felt they were losing money on the affiliate program that they didn't need to lose. There is no arguing that point.

Are you blind or what? Where are the numbers from you? How do you want to be taken seriously after such a clownish behaviour? You failed to prove your point twice and been factually ended by a few members on this page. Learn to back you talk before you try to speak with superiors on BHW.

Might be in saturated markets but not in emerging markets

Amazon just introduced Amazon Influencers program so I guess they are trying to expand their affiliate network as much as they can and not close anytime soon.
