Will Altcoins Comeback?

Most are down right now, better if it was just BTC, you can definitely hold for years.

Maybe thats a chance to grab a bag for some alt though since they are going down atm.
But yeah if you were already holding there is no point selling now at a big loss
 
Altcoins are never going to have the same hype as they did in 2020. We had a couple of stimulus packages for COVID, the economy was booming, mortgage interest rates were very low, gas prices were low, and people had a lot of extra money to spend. Many people barely knew anything about altcoins and bought based on hype. Elon Musk could pump an altcoin with a simple tweet.


Now people understand what altcoins truly are and believe they have no real value other than being memes.


Even Bitcoin doesn’t have much value beyond making transactions easier for some people, and it can be expensive to trade.


XMR has some value because it is cheaper to transact and is supposed to still be confidential, although I’m not sure about that since I haven’t traded crypto since 2020 when I was day trading.


BNB has value because it is tied to the Binance Chain, is cheap to trade, and can easily be swapped to USDT. It is also used for PancakeSwap when people want to trade other altcoins.


But other than that, altcoins will never have the same hype as they did in 2020 because people are more educated on the topic and have learned there is no real value.
 
Pull yourself together because this feeling is common the market constantly tests patience with strong fluctuations. Don't label yourself a loser when the game isn't over yet. Focus on maintaining your composure and restructuring your portfolio instead of panicking
 
Yes, altcoins will comeback when the general market is extremely bullish. Nobody knows when it's going to happen.

I am on with you on that one. Feels like if we see a bull market again in the future, I doubt if we ever going to see new ATH's for like the top 10-20 altcoins.
Market is changing and people adapt to it so the era of the alts i think is kinda doomed.
i don't say that they will never recover, or if you buy now you will not see profits or so. But i think thats far from new ATH's
 
Eventually, probably. But I’m sticking with the crypto blue chips right now - BTC, ETH & LTC/SOL. I’d avoid low cap projects for the time being.

Definitely, we can really just wait for it for the mean time instead
 
many people same situation, altcoins always dump hard before comeback, this not new, in past also 60-80% down then later big pump, problem is not all coins recover only strong ones with real use or hype come back, so need patience and maybe rethink portfolio little, market move in cycles, now feel bad but later can change fast.
 
A rebound requires rising overall liquidity and a sustained decrease in Bitcoin dominance, which historically happens after Bitcoin leads a market rally. And Bitcoin leading a market rally again depends on which direction liquidity builds up over time.
 
I'm starting to doubt that interest in them will ever return. The narrative has shifted, and if there is any interest at all, it will likely be limited to isolated projects more closely tied to AI.

Point taken especially now that AI is really the thing right now in all industry, at most crypto
 
You’re definitely not alone, a lot of people feel like this during altcoin drawdowns. These cycles can be brutal, but sentiment is usually the worst right before things start turning around. Whether they bounce back or not, it’s kind of part of the game with alts.

Yeah, its just a game of time. Dont invest what you may need and you will be fine! I am waiting for xrp to go to 10 and eventually it will :D
