Will AI start favoring domain patterns humans would never choose?

Humans tend to like short, simple, memorable domain names. But AI models don't necessarily think in the same way we do.

Do you think AI might start favoring domain patterns or structures that humans wouldn't normally choose, but still work well for machines?

the AI doesn't favor anything that's not programmed to do, it's the sentient beings (humanoid or otherwise) behind the AI that are telling it what to favor.

I couldn't answer your question before I mentioned that, so - with that being said - I think that it's possible for the programmers to tell the AI to favor other patterns and structures that humans wouldn't normally favor...

I think it's an interesting angle - a web built for machines doesn't necessarily need human-focused metrics we've been using.

Not really. AI still follows user behavior and data so human style domains still win.

Weird domains might rank but users wont trust or click them much.

That's an interesting idea, maybe a very long tail keyword domain might work.

Interesting point. I think AI will mostly still rely on relevance and authority signals rather than "creative" domain patterns. Even if AI changes how results are ranked, human trust and branding will likely still matter a lot for real users.

Interesting thought! I think AI might optimize more for structure, keywords, and clarity rather than "brand feel" like humans do. But for real users, simple and memorable domains will probably still matter more long term.

Possibly, but I think user behaviour will still matter most. Even if AI understand unusual domain patterns, people still prefer simple and memorable names. So domains that work for both users and search engines will probably stay the safest choice.
