Will AI replace Google? Why?

It won't because AI is only usable for information search! There are plenty of websites which are not data/news related. people are still searching for services , tools and other type of websites on internet .

It would be very difficult. Google will also update itself in the near future.

I don't think AI will completely replace Google. While AI technology has the potential to enhance and improve search algorithms, Google is constantly evolving and adapting to new technology. Additionally, Google has a strong user base and brand recognition that would be difficult for any new player to replicate.
However, AI will likely continue to play a significant role in the future of search and SEO.

I don't think AI will replace Google. What would happen to Amazon, Ebay etc.

These companies have too much money invested just for Google to scrap its search engine and replace it with AI

How AI can help me find a website for this query "Online pic resizer" we need a search engine like Google to find the best "online pic resizer" tool !!
AI can only work for information related queries nothing more!

I don't think so. It is a long debate to discuss.

They will merge to some degree but each serves its own purposes.

No way... I dont see that happening anytime in the next 20 years..

The vast majority of people are self-focused, lazy and desire instant gratification.

Whatever solution meets these needs best will win, but remember not all queries are created equal ;-)

I found myself using ChatGPT over Google these days. Why? Because the information is just way more accurate. I don't want to search on Google and click through 3-4 links to find out there is a paywall or some weirdo posting affiliate links. I also don't want to read a long-ass 5k words article to find an answer to my question.

It became incredibly difficult to find unbiased information on Google. And one of the reasons is the censorship on Google. They will always push certain news outlets (which clearly have an agenda or get paid by someone specific) just because of their "trustworthiness" (which goes down the hill the moment these are paid articles). Another reason is the self-interest of the blog/website/magazine owner or author. If I want to know who George Washington was, I just want to know who he was, when, and where he was born. I don't want to know his stance on genders or if he had slaves, etc. But lately, I found many articles which are so focused on these woke topics, that it just became extremely annoying

You do know CHAT GPT is bias don't you?

CHAT GPT has biased views so how can you trust that information either?

HI jootess

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot that has been developed San Francisco-based OpenAI, a research company led by Sam Altman and backed by Microsoft, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Khosla Ventures.

i think Ai doesn't replace Google because those are different. Ai develop day by day but here we see that Google also developed their Program.

Iphones/androids both have their default search engine as Google. However AI do give us a detailed answer but it isn't better than google in finding the most relevant stuff to our query.

No, AI won't replace Google anytime soon. AI still has limitations, and Google and AI can work together to improve the user experience.

imagine a future where each major website works through prompts

amazon prompt
google prompt
facebook prompt
twitter prompt

everything works with prompts if it becomes accepted as a future and a standard on the internet

Google is going to replace that current search with AI search which is called generative search.
