I am curious will google adwords hurt my overall seo google ranking.

If not I just want to start some awareness about my webpage and then slowly integrate google adsense into it.

NO adwords has absolutely no effect on seo. BUT I have heard that some people claim that when they lower their adwords limits to get lower amount of clicks that google thinks their web page is less interesting and lowers thier seo. I dont believe this but who knows.
