We run a unique e-commerce website and all products are affiliated links. Clicking "Buy Now" takes the user to directly to the site they can complete the purchase.
However the sites operates and looks exactly like a e-commerce website and I think will only get discovered if there is a manual review.
We've just launched and any extra exposure this early on would be great for us. So I'm contemplating submitting our sites data feed to google merchant center to get listed in their shopping results.
I know affiliate sites like this are against google merchant centers terms.... but my question is... when my website gets banned from google merchant center... do you think this will have any effect on its google rankings?
There doesn't seem to be an answer to this in any of googles documentation.
