Wikipedia link for a poker coaching website

Hey guys,

I am wondering whether I would be able to secure a link from a specific Wikipedia page and would like to get an opinion from someone with more recent experience.

Years ago it was not that difficult to manually edit yourself a page and add a relevant resource (or semi-relevant resource) and it would stay. I think I still have some old links from 5-6 years ago. However, we all know things change. Although, I don't have any recent experience with trying to get a link from Wikipedia but believe the moderation is far stricter now.

In my case, it comes to a specific page of a person. Here is some brief info:

So, I run a poker coaching website and one of our coaches is a famous and respected player (he even https://www.pokernews.com/tours/wsop/wsop-2017/event-62-poker-players-championship/chips.176300.htm from a $50k WSOP Event in Vegas a few years ago). He has a personal Wikipedia page about him in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivo_Donev, https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivo_Donev and https://bg.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%98%D0%B2%D0%BE_%D0%94%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%B5%D0%B2 (he was born in Bulgaria, but now has Austrian citizenship).

In the English version, there is https://prnt.sc/vomqoj with various references and external links including his homepage. So, I'm thinking whether there are any chances to add a link to the English version from my website with https://ultimatepokercoaching.com/our-poker-coaches/ivo-donev/ where we have some bio about him, his biggest wins, coaching style etc.

Alternatively, maybe I can make an interview with him and publish it to the website about how he started with poker, how his success came and so on and add this blog post as a resource to his Wikipedia page. Here is https://ultimatepokercoaching.com/blog/qa-with-a-poker-pro-sunday-warm-up-winner/ I did in the past with another coach (who doesn't have a Wikipedia page though).

I guess for both options, I should contact the editor/creator of his page instead of adding the link by myself as it most probably would be removed instantly? Not sure how linking in Wikipedia works these days, so just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this. And whether you think my website is relevant and credible enough to be added as an external resource?

He has a personal Wikipedia page about him in English, German and Bulgarian (he was born in Bulgaria, but now has Austrian citizenship).

In the English version, there is a section with web links with various references and external links including his homepage. So, I'm thinking whether there are any chances to add a link to the English version from my website with his profile page where we have some bio about him, his biggest wins, coaching style etc.
