Wikipedia IP Ban Workarounds?

Hello,

I need to place some wikipedia backlinks but my IP is banned from wikipedia. This is the first time it has happened in around 4 years of doing this and the ban does not expire until 2026.

So far I tried using Tor Onion browser but wikipedia seems to be quite good at knowing which IP addresses are legit and which aren't. I would happily buy wikipedia accounts from the marketplace here on BHW, but I am fairly certain wikipedia will just instaban them.

Any free or paid suggestions are welcome. I could buy a proxy server but this seems a bit of an overkill just yet.

Bro you're using Tor ... Obviously you gonna get flagged ...

Just use your mobile 4g internet , use airplane mode to get new IP if you want to switched to new one

Mobile internet usually classified as residential IP ..avoid Tor or similar network

I'll give that a try thanks.

I wasn't using tor originally. I used tor because I already got banned.

Why not just use a residential/4G proxy to mask your IP? Tor along with all the major VPN service providers have had the vast majority of their IPs blocked already by virtue of other users. There are some smaller VPN providers whose IPs still work fine with Wikipedia but that's probably not going to last for much longer.

But if you're using regular proxies, chances of them having already been flagged by Wikipedia are very slim.

Wikipedia is really good at spotting proxies, VPNs, and troublesome IPs. Using mobile 4G internet is your best bet, but be careful of cookies and related things too.
