wikipedia API script?

Does anyone have or know where one can get a script that you can run against wikimedia's API. I have the WIKImedia script and i want to pull postings and titles from certain categories to fill my site. I have not been able to find a script that will work with the API.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just saw i can export from a category here:

and import into mediawiki directly if anyone is wondering, this will work for now i supposse. unless someone has a better method.
