If I press the advanced tab on my wifi connection from mobile I can see that I can add a proxy.

I added "localhost" at the field in the pic bellow called "Bypass proxy for" and when I opened an app the app saw that I'm from proxy location and that is great.

Is this the only option to use a proxy on an android phone and how safe do you think it is, like some apps can detect your using a proxy?

I don't have a sim card in this phone and my clock is from the city of the proxy.

If you divert all your traffic through the proxy, Apps won't really know/notice that you're using a proxy. However, they can run GPS queries without your knowledge and detect your real location.

But, fi you are really concerned about privacy, you can also use a VPN and connect the proxy via your VPN tunnel (because a VPN encrypts your traffic at a system level).

Your saying that after I connect to VPN I can add my proxy also somewhere?

Thanks for your answer

I'm actually curious.
I was responding to the "how safe is it" part of the question, I also, as far as I can tell, added some info that was not yet present in the thread that might help the OP ( and others ) be safer.

How has my answer already been answered in this thread?

Most native apps have access to your phone's unique id.

If you use your account with your local ip, and then a different account with a proxy. The app could in theory know that.

Got it. Do you know if the unique id change if I factory reset the phone?

Thanks for your answer

It does not.

But the app does not have access to the id if you don't allow access to phone calls.
