Wich hosting do you use?

Im sure there are more than one fine hosting companies out there like Hostgator dreamhost hostnine, but anyone knows where their servers are located? and what laws apply to your websites?

any comments on justhost?
 
I have been used DreamHost, BlueHost, HostMonster etc.
Most of the popuplar web hostings
 
Folks, Tell me what's wrong with GoDaddy. I've used them for years and haven't had a problem. One thing though. It seems all my sites get sandboxed for 1-2 weeks and then released no matter what I do. Is this a Godaddy thing with Google. Thinking of going with HostGator.
 
I agree with everyone that GD is not the best choice out there... they don't play nice with certain custom scripts you may have.

Also... ANY host you choose should have "Simple Scripts"... the new and improved Fantastico.

While I personally don't ever use these and install my own scripts/apps for better control... Simple Scripts is nice if you want a 'basic-level-ly secured' installation with a few clicks of the mouse along with one-click updates to these installations almost as soon as they are released.

Thought I would share my opinion on this one.

When it comes to the unlimited hosts, I would recommend HG without any second thoughts.

However unlimited bandwidth and space are just publicity gimmicks covered up in most cases by there TOS for which they will ban you on one grounds or the other if you try the unlimited bit.

Btw, I sincerely recommend anyone looking for hosting to go to Web Hosting Talk forums as some really valid information can be fetched from there. Most hosts run offers often so check out the offers section before purchasing anything.

A few recommended non unlimited hostings

1. Innohosting : I host many domains with them and they are simply awesome.
2. HawkHost : Very good and with unlimited domains and databases. Not space/bandwifth. There is a coupon code which can fetch u 50% off or something.
3. MDDHosting : A little expensive but very good service and solid performance
4. DowntownHost : Very good service and quite affordable. They have an offer running as well , me thinks.

I would recommend spending some time in doing the research rather then jumping hosts.

JustHost.com - they have really fast customer service and I have no complaints on hosting so far.
 
I've used hostmonster for a couple years. My main complaint with them is that they required a picture of my drivers license in order to get SSH access. That and they try to renew your service at $7.95/month when you originally paid $5.95. I'm looking for another cheaper hosting service. Need to find 1 soon as my hostmonster account expires in 11 days and need time to transfer files to the the new server.
 
^ I'd use hostgator, it's not cheaper but seriously it's worth it. I wouldnt take the risk of getting a bad hosting just to spare like 3$/month
 
I just bought a hostgator business account, so far im v happy with their live chat, they help and everything so far seems nice. Nice layout of options, traffic in your c panel.
 
Hostgator - never had a problem with them and good support and prices. Just upgraded from baby to reseller and love it. I have used bluehost and they were good too
