Why your site won't rank

I was hitting my head against a wall why I can't rank a site and why there are people that can even if I've spent a year of non-stop trying/learning/testing/inventing SEO methods and stuff.



I did read all guides and I was shocked that things from 2015 guide are not working at the moment.


But they are working - just differently!

All these methods, for example, lets take tiered link building - that's an offsite link building technique.

What it does? It brings link juice

But link juice (offsite) and optimalization (onpage) dont alone rank a site nowadays.. you can try, have 300 related articles, infinite link juice, and perfect onpage seo. you still wont rank.


Well you can if there are no old authority sites on page 1.


Question why they are different? Because they have links you will never get? Possible, however you still can get infinite link juice from Blackhat methods found on this forum.

So the deal lies in domain age (how long since indexation).

Im like 900% sure its all about domain age. I recommend to build MS on expired domains because if your domain will be one year old and will have everything set perfect then you will still probably lose to 9year old authority domain that barely has onpage seo/any link juice brought to that page.

Ohh and also say what are your thoughts

Site age is a metric taken into account for many many years. People stuff doesn't work well because newer sites are discounted quite heavily and have been for a long time. However if your 'newer' site can garner links from highly respected sites, you will see it working. Still, just as always, the longer time your url has been up and online. . . the more likely its trustworthy.

so you are saying if I have better links on my 3 month domain than my 9 year old competitor domain then I will outrank him? I doubt

if you use the term "double everything " then yes you will.
 
Outside of needing a few months to mature and solidify its trust, I don't think domain age really matters.

I don't think the first time Google crawled a website, whether it be 9 months or 9 years ago, has any influence as a ranking signal. And as far as whois info goes, that probably isn't taken into consideration either since it can be unavailable at times.

When it comes to domain age, I don't think it is the registrar date or first date that it was crawled that makes a difference. It is the fact that those old domains have had years to acquire links... basically getting a head start on new domains.

But on a page by page or keyword by keyword by keyword level. The overall domain, and especially domain age, is not a factor I worry about or am intimidated by.
 
quality over quantity with links.

most ppl dont even no ,that a backlink got bad spam movements it weighing you down...
 
There are millions ways to do tier link building, saying that something doesn't work because it didn't work for you is not smart, domain age is a factor only if you take the overall site power into consideration:

-9 year old parked domain without no article in it for all 9 years: [BAD] ($6000 domain...)
-3 month old domain with 2 thousand articles well optimized: [GOOD] ($15 domain) + ($5850 in articles)

Buying an old domain with no historic in the search engines won't help you pal.

it worked for me nicely. However there are still things that outrank me (not many but there are) and common thing is that they are all aged. Some of them have probably some strong links but other of them dont
 
I think it depends on the competition level.

Alot of competition and these factors have a greater impact

What im saying is.. it definitely depends on the niche

nononono. 0 competition. only authority sites that are no exact match are outranking me.

sure some of them have better links but I also outrank other authority domains that also have better links than me.

Which means:
Page 1 G serp:
-aged domain with good links
-aged domain with good links
-aged domain with good links
-aged domain with good links
-aged domain with good links
-aged domain with decent links
-aged domain with decent links
-aged domain with decent links
-aged domain with decent links
-my site (new domain)



And what is page 2 build of? Exacty the same as above... Saying strong links are the case is doubtful because I dont have as strong links as domains Ive outranked that are on page 2 of G serp. I did it because of link juice and onpage seo. But these rules do not apply on page 1? I guess

Basically you are saying the top 10 are age domains with good backlinks but the competition is 0 ?
 
There is a sticky thread on this forum section all about BH SEO and google changes on how long it takes now to rank :) basically go with your own private PBN is my 2 cents on the matter!

Yes, otherwise we'd all be using old websites and developing new ones would be pointless.

We talk about online ranking. So all things equal (links) you think there is no difference between a url registered in 1998 and one registered yesterday?

thats exactly what I mean. not sure if "click n through" matters in this case. But theres a reason why some aged well linked domains outrank me with barely targeting the term. And I can't say thats because of user experience signals or because of better links - I already outranked 10 of those "authority sites" that have better links.

Might be true for your nitch but our niche the age of the site helped us get from 3-5 to 1-2, all of our backlinks where pretty set think it has more to do with then the site age as you say to ... think the backlinks have to "set for a bit" but they where all discovered and set around March and our site climbed those last few rungs in mid June - as mentioned we did very little in that time because we where slammed with other projects
 
Funny thing with all of our backlinks set our Ahref goes up and down a few 100k in 30 days swings so funny to watch lol
