Most likely, some security issues and to be safe the sysadmin decided to ask everyone for password change :)

Yes, just now I received this and done my resetting of password. I think it might be an update.
 
Same here, and I have auto generated password grrr. Y do tis ser??
 
it asked me just now. change the new password and it's back to normal
 
Mine was locked too.

Maybe a valid email check ?
