I have a decent arsenal of tools and while I'm no expert I understand how to make the most of them and when to use which tools where. In total I probably have 20k+ worth of licenses and I probably pay close to 1k/month on SEO services. The one thing I've never used is the Godfather of them all, Xrumer. So just yesterday I received a newsletter the Botlabs was down (hopefully temporarily). Now I know I don't need it but I've always wanted to give it a go as soon as I found the time. My biggest hesitation is that you get one side saying it's still great and then the other side saying it had it's hay day already RIP Xrumer. What's the best use of Xrumer as of today April 8, 2014? And if anyone has a license they want to sell, I'm interested. Thanks.

XRumer is amazing as Tier 2 for instance. It makes the Tier 1 backlinks very powerful. Diversification and a big volume.

Thats my experience with them.

People who says XRumer has no use anymore don't know what they're talking about. I'm still seeing sites in top 3 for competitive keywords that has been blasted up there with XRumer.

It can be used for a variety of situations. The most powerful of which being its customization and its ability to solve captchas incredibly well. You can teach Xrumer to sign up for websites that aren't already spammed to death and get some quality results. It is definitely pretty tricky though. I would never recommend using Xrumer to blast your money site (or any SEO tool out today) unless your blasting a churn-and-burn website. Xrumer is easy to use out of the box to create hundreds of thousands of links of low quality if that's what you're looking for.

Basically use it if you are looking to create tons of low quality links or be prepared to teach it how to post to the good ones. You can always try and filter out the low PR spammy sites in your list by using Scrapebox or something similar.

I do miss the days of dominating the SERPs solely with Xrumer spam though :(. It clearly still works but don't expect your website to last.

I appreciate this information. When you say don't expect your web site to last, does that mean in any situation? Let's say I'm only using it to blast 2nd and 3rd tier. Another question I have is if I used Xrumer, is something like GSA even needed? I hear people talking about using GSA on Tier 1, but just like the other guy said - I'd probably never use any tool for that purpose. Thank you again!

tried to thank you but couldn't so thanks man!

hey even if I cannot expect the site to last... for what kind of period could things work out ?

No one can answer that question.

What I and many other churn and burn people do Is to have sites lined up. 1 site goes down, replace, rinse and repeat.

You should see my domain account, hundreds of domains lol.
