why would youtube remove real-organic views?

sup guys

so the title pretty much says it all. yes. real 1000000% organic traffic. the link to a recent music video was posted in the description of a viral fight n amassed 12k views in 4 days. checked today and it's at 4k lol

any idea what happened? thanks mates

They weren't bot views though. the fight was posted to facebook and gained over 1.4 million views which is where all the traffic come from we assume. we posted the link to my video in the description but title it "full fight video here" which is what cause many people to click hahaha

the views went up consistently through out each day as we kept a check on it. it peaked at 12.4k as of Monday and when checking today it is at just over 4k. we are quite sure these aren't bots once again being that the fight video gained over 1.4m views and god knows how many impressions as it is quite an entertaining fight if I must say myself. it is still getting shares and engagement now but we have since removed the music video link
 
I have the same problem. I post video on Reddit, Got like 1100 views and after few days I am at 550
 
Caching perhaps? Wait for a few more days I would say. Youtube is really freaking huge when it comes to data storage. Mad respect to them for how well they manage the services. With caching/sharding and all, data may not always be up to date.

But yeah, if you don’t see the data even after another week, something is wrong.
 
You've not mentioned the most critical aspect to make an analysis : When it was at 12k views, AT THAT TIME, what was the traffic sources of those 12k views AS PER YOUTUBE BUILT-IN ANALYTICS within your YouTube channel's dashboard ?
I bet did not make a note of that, anyways no point now, because that data is not available pertaining to views removed, once the views have been removed. You missed the most important aspect pertaining to the scenario explained by you.

if i'm understanding your question, the majority of the traffic was a direct result of the facebook post.
can't remember the exact perectage but over 80% of all traffic was converted from that facebook video, very small percentage was reddit & current subscribers.
 
My partner did a podcast about social media censorship. He had more than 3500 views the first 2 hours but by the next more it was less than 20.
 
Youtube AI has an issue where it is unable to Deferenceate behaviour of real user or a Automated user, so it removes the real on aswell. Quite common.
 
Short length views are removed due to gg scan algorithm.
