Just wondering why some users have multiple computers? Is it to run scrapes on 1 and do daily work on the other? Just wondering, b/c I heard it a few times on here. Thanks..

I use them to scale up my twitter marketing. I bought 3 second hand P4 desktops some time ago, put vmware on them so i can run 6 instances of the twitter bot instead of just 2 on my laptop :)

I bought them for 50 euro's a piece and my internet connection is 40 mbit/sec so it works fine for my purpose. I guess it would be better to buy one really powerful machine but that would cost me around 1k euros i think. Maybe something to think about if/when i register as a company, for now im just using the cheapest possible solutions.

I also rented some cheap windows vps's this month and the results are looking good so i might scale up next month and get some more.

All the best,

VV

I have 2, 1 i do all my secure stuff on like banking, ftp, hosting stuff, site logins etc.

The other, cheaper laptop I run my software stuff on - SB, AMR, SENukeX and general surfing around forums and sites.

Getting the dreaded blue screen a year or so ago using SENuke was enough to make me do this!

you know 2 pieces might be very usefull if you are running automated softwears.
but sometimes I just wish I had another head and a pair of hands so I can do all the work-there is so much to do but then, again, you can not make alll the money in the world.

Agreed, desktop for Xrumer/SB. And an Acer Aspire TimlineX (8 hour battery) for the reading, typing, small scale implementing and taking on holiday :D. I don't care if the hotel doesn't have a pool/sauna, or beds even. It's just gotta have an Internet connection!

To run multiple instant messenger accounts at the same time.
I can make someone on skype think they are talking to 4 different people.
Excellent for persuasive tactics.

because laptops suck - but I need one sometimes, and I may as well have it working.

i tend to run SB slow poster on the laptop 24/7, I did have a spare desktop for that but it had to move to make way for a 3rd monitor.

I use the other just for offline work and internet banking only. Much safer that way.

Laptop with USB cooling fan to run 24/7 with SB and other tools.

PC for general browsing.

i have 10 pc's and a laptop, laptop use for chat with my clients and remote other computers and i can bring it everywhere, other 10 pc for softwares. some software has limits on a single computer, Plus i can let my brothers, sisters and a cousins use them if they had to use one. school works, mailing chatting facebook. saves them money going to the net cafe..just make sure you have an extra user account for each so that they cant bother the softwares running

i dont think thats a good idea..was doing that ruined my first laptop due to overheating,im in a airconditioned room and usb cooling with it too.

just purchase another pc,just a pc and remote control it. pc runs faster and cheaper than laptop, saves you money in the future if it ever breaks down

You can get Xeon servers on eBay for $100 each. We have three in our office.

  1. LAMP environment for development & testing
  2. ScrapeBox full time
  3. VPN tunnel secure browsing from public networks.

i just have 2 desktops - that i run 4 scrapebox same time, 1 xrumer 7 and i love ccontrol it with KVM switch. ( 100 mbit line)

PC takes up too much space and is too noisy to leave on overnight in my room (unless I invest in a super-expensive PSU + silent fans). I don't know what laptop you had, but I'm pretty sure I could get at least 2 or 3 years out of this. And if it doesn't last, there's always warranty.

Two ones, one desktop and one laptop.
The reasons are simple, the desktop is for gaming and video rendering, the laptop for outdoor use.

Standalone submitter works twice as fast on two computers. :D

why 2 computers? Just run few VMwares :D... I can easily run 3-4 Windows 7s and 2 ubuntus on my laptop with 6gb of ram and i3-370m cpu
