Why would anyone put this requirement, NO GOOGLE, in the offer?

Hi folks...

Anyone to know why offer is there requirement with "Affiliates are forbidden to run ads on Google Adwords (or any Google property) under any and all circumstances. Google is not allowed regardless of intended use of specific keywords. NO GOOGLE." ?

2 reasons:

1. Affiliates will run ads targeting the brand name. Some call it a scam (it's predatory imo), but you're pretty much "driving" sales/leads from traffic that was going to convert for free anyway. Same reason why some advertisers are now banning traffic from coupon/review sites.

2. Competition. Advertiser doesn't want to compete with affiliates and drive up bid costs.
