Well Ebay is not a good place to sell sites really, I always sell sites via Flippa, it is the best place to sell sites, but new sites don't really sell well with no earnings and revenue.

BTW Your description was way too long for your site making that much revenue and traffic, people just don't bother reading it (This includes on Flippa too).

Thanks for the response! I thought giving out as much information as possible was a good strategy, but I may be wrong here. Do you have any suggestions for improving my description, while not cutting it too short? I created a new listing on eBay as testing before moving to Flippa so I can be sure I have mastered the description properly. Do you think the price was too high in the first action? Is three days too short for an auction? Here is the URL of the OLD auction http://cgi.ebay.com/Alabama-Medical...531622910?pt=Domain_Names&hash=item2c5c91d7fe and the new auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190533060139

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
I looked at your auction as well. The details are more numerous than necessary. I, too, love to provide the fullest, most complete overview of what my site (or whatever other product) has to offer and am long-winded. Despite that, in my experience most people are repelled by listings that have so much information.

Another strategy people use for selling is by starting the listing at a low, very attractive price- with the idea that many people will be drawn to it, interested, and bid or watch the auction, by the end driving it up the the price you wanted anyway. This doesn't always happen, but I can say that if someone is looking and they see a listing out of their price range, it immediately gets passed over versus the other- more favorable- outcome.

Flippa is not an as obvious of a solution as people, sometimes, think. Many sales are made there... but you also have many more people who are paying upfront to list, and do not sell. I listed 3 great niche domains at a fraction of the price that similar domains sold for on Flippa and also didn't make any sales there- and I know that what I have is in-demand. So, it's just a matter of what different people are looking for. Personally, I won't be back there to sell, ever. Too high upfront costs AND they want success fees.

There is a new website and domain auction site launching this week. It will have no listing fees and a single-digit success fee. I will be using that as soon as it opens. I, personally, wouldn't sell anywhere where I needed to invest money in selling- no matter what the site status, because viewership is still not a guarantee. Good luck.

I too would like to know the new link for selling sites that is cheaper than Flippa.

i just want to perfect the description and see that it converts before listing on Flippa. I have created a new listing, so if you have any feedback that would be very helpful! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190535051623

Definitely sell it on Flippa, make the description
a lot shorter than what you posted on eGay, make
sure you provide all the traffic and revenue data,
answer all your bidder's questions and Good luck.

+1 for Flippa, if it's already making money, the chances of it selling
    are very high.

eBay isn't a very good place to sell your website. Actually, not many sites are sold on there. You could sell it on Ebay but you would get more just listing it on Flippa.
