why when i open chrome i got 5 processes in task manager?

check this out.

My chrome seemed to work slower than usually then i opened task manager and came across this.

I believe it could also be chrome extensions that are enabled...

Yea i had 1 extension only, after disabling it, i still got 4 processes running...

Chrome opens separate process for tasks instead of running in one process like firefox would.

Ok, but how come 3 of 4 processes remain running after i close chrome browser?

And if you didn't know, Chrome has even its own task manager so you can check even there what are the processes for.

This was one of it's main features when it first came out. If you have processes remaining after the tab is closed, it could be a plug-in container for video that went awry. Like they do . . .

Currently I have about 12, with 9 tabs open. It's not virus if you're asking, unless of course you have some kind of virus
