Why were my backlinks deleted?

Hi All,

I've just launched a new website, and have slowly started to build backlinks through guest blogging. I wrote an article on a PR 4 Blog which was related to my niche. A few days ago, I logged into an SEO website to check my websites status, and the backlinks were listed. Then I saw that the backlinks had been 'deleted'. I did some research on the blog's backlinks and saw they have many 'no follow' links which have also been deleted.

Does anybody know what's going on with this?! I'm really confused. It was a PR 4 blog, but I guess I will need to do some more research into the blog itself, to establish it's own backlinks, and how trustworthy they are?!

Will Google really penalize me for this?

No follow links are useless unless they are from an authority site. Try to get as many do-follow links from sites having low OBL.
May be the article you wrote on PR4 blog was not up to the mark and admin might have deleted it.

No follow links are a critical part of your link diversity, not having them will negatively affect your rankings.

they are spammy so got deleted

Spammed links may be deleted by the moderators of the blog etc.

Completely untrue and regurgitated nonsense. Avoid nofollow when you can, but you'll inevitably have some in your profile anyway so don't worry too much about it.
Are you saying your backlinks turned nofollow or they were removed?

i think they were crap or scrap so thats why they were deleted.

Spam links are delete and nofollow links are use less try forum posting

No-follow links are ignored and only do-follow links are acknowledge though you still need this no-follow links to make your links look more natural. Spam are deleted so never ever SPAM your links...

How was your article written? Did you take your time on it or was it just a bunch of info tossed together to guest post? It may have been deleted if it was not up to par with the rest of the site.
