Why was I banned so fast?

I run an OF model who flashes on IG to go viral fast and funnel subs. It’s against TOS, so bans are expected. I cycle new accounts—7-10 days is enough to pull subs.

To stay unlinked I:

  • New handle, no name in bio
  • Nomixcloner spoofed IG app
  • Fresh mobile data
Still banned in 48 h with “fake account” notice.

The account was bought—likely bot-farmed before I got it. Any other weak link I’m missing?

That'll do it.

Plus suspicious account activity (like the account was being logged in from a different country or even continent before you used it). Fresh mobile data is good but swapping too often or using recycled IP ranges that other spam accounts have already ran through like an interstate can trip up IG's algo, though that depends with what you mean by fresh mobile data.
Besides that, minimal activity before suddenly posting makes the account even likelier to fall ill with IG. That also depends if you've done sufficient warmup though.
I'm sure there are other contributing factors but those come to mind first, imo.

The weak link is the bought account’s history/footprint, so creating/warming your own fresh accounts is safer than relying on pre-farmed ones.

Maybe account IP is linked with banned accounts. Try VPN for unique IP.

Since you bought pre-registered accounts, it’s possible that the account’s history had already been flagged by IG before. You should check back with the seller about the quality of those accounts. Another reason could be that the device parameters you’re using to log in aren’t very trust, so IG suspects the accounts are all coming from the same device. That’s just my theory, but if you also think this might be the case, you could switch to using an antidetect browser (Multilogin, GoLogin, Hidemyacc, AdsPower, those are the names I hear most often). From what I’ve seen, the prices don’t differ that much. Also, double check your proxy quality. The chance it’s proxy related is lower, but it’s still not something to completely rule out.

Probably due to device fingerprinting or suspicious behavior patterns. Maybe try better device emulation and varying your content and engagement? Rotating payment methods could help too.

Thanks for sharing your setup you're clearly covering most of the key points.

Anyone here got any recommendations for quality accounts I can buy? I've had such hit or miss experience with account sellers and just want someone reliable. Dont need huge amount of followers, 5-10k and babe accounts ideally, so the right audience is already in place for OF models.

The IP's and fingerprints of the device are getting linked. If you are using an Iphone, just reset the the device when an account gets banned, and rotate the IP address. That should help prevent linking between new accounts and keep your profiles safe.

The quick ban likely came from the account’s flagged history, since IG tracks device, behavior, and past farmed activity, so only clean self-grown accounts last longer.

All accounts are getting banned recently, anyone who says they can bot using api is lying imo

i have tried every setting, every possible alternative and all accounts get banned no matter what, its game over for api

From my own experience testing accounts:
  • Bought accounts are often the issue. They may look aged, but if they’ve been mass-produced or recycled, their trust score is already shot. That’s why you’re getting hit with the “fake account” notice so fast.
  • Warmup matters. Even aged accounts need a period of natural-looking behavior before pushing content. Sudden activity spikes (posting NSFW, mass engagement, etc.) on a “cold” account usually triggers the filters.
  • Device/browser fingerprint is another hidden factor. Even with fresh mobile data, if the fingerprint doesn’t match natural patterns (cookies, sensor data, fonts, etc.), Instagram detects it.
  • Content type. Flash content gets manually flagged often, and it doesn’t take much for reports to pile up—especially on accounts without history.
If you want them to last longer, test with clean, freshly created accounts on real devices (instead of bought ones) and let them “age” with a few weeks of natural interaction before ramping up.

From what you described, the biggest weak point sounds like the fact that the account was pre-bought. If it was bot-farmed before, IG will usually flag those much faster no matter what setup you use (mobile data, spoofed app, fresh handle, etc).

In my experience, starting from fresh self-made accounts on real devices lasts longer than any aged/bought account. Even better if you can warm them up with normal browsing, liking, following a few pages before posting promo content.
Also, mixing in some “normal” activity (stories, reposting viral content, basic engagement) helps avoid the instant “fake account” trigger. If you go straight for flashing + links, the account life will always be short.

So I’d say: test a couple of your own fresh accounts and compare them against the bought ones, you’ll probably see a huge difference in survival rate.

Its because even the new account is from the same IP address, so it is expected. They are very sensitive when it comes to verifying sources

you are using fresh mobile data. then try to create new account within player. and whatever post you make in that account please make sure you clear all meta data and edit those post.

It can happen because you're using some identifier (same IP, same device, similar email to previously blocked ones or disposable/fake emails, or a VPN in European countries).
you can try using a different device, opt for a secure email, don't start posting quickly, have natural activity, don't follow randomly. In general, you should scale up gradually.

-Don't do creation with cloning apks, that is a must,
-Use shadowrocket on top of your proxy, do not use embedded proxies.
-Check trustscores of your proxies/vpns, ensure their score is high enough

These are the main points to check first. 48h - is not a good ratio, you can do better!
