Videos that aren't indexed can't be served on Google as video results. How to solve it?

it says right there: "video is not the main content of the page". So you (probably) didn't embed them correctly or you didn't include them in the body section of your content
Hi there :) what do you mean by you didn't embed them correctly? I have the same problem. I'm embedding videos, the page containing the video is INDEXED but the video is not.

Also I had this problem many times on blog posts on my site when I included in the body. Maybe there is a schema or something to indicate the video being the primary content.

I'm not sure, but I think there are different methods of embedding (iframe, in-content, etc). It's possible that he used the iframe option, but I don't know since I've not embedded videos in my content in years, so I'm not sure, I just mentioned some potential culprits...

It could also be that google treats embedded videos as a different thing so you probably need to index and SEO the videos separately

Ensure that your videos have precise and informative titles, descriptions, and tags that incorporate relevant keywords. Implement schema markup, specifically the Video Object schema, to provide supplementary metadata to search engines, enhancing their understanding of your video content.

Develop a video sitemap specifically for your website and Submit this video sitemap to Google Search Console. A video sitemap aids search engines in efficiently discovering and indexing your video content, making it more accessible to users.

By focusing on these key factors, you can improve the visibility and discoverability of your videos better on Google's search results.

This has been an issue since google's update how it treats videos on pages.

Now since you're embedding video on your blogpost or page it's not the main content.

But if you add the term 'video' to the title & url of the blogpost/page and use video schema it works.

I read about this on various places and on implementing this it did work for most blogposts.

Although some didn't work.

You can give this method a try and update us with your results.

Optimize your videos with precise titles, descriptions, and Video Object schema markup to enhance search engine understanding. Create a video sitemap, submit it to Google Search Console, and consider adding 'video' to the title and URL of your blog posts utilizing video schema, for improved discoverability in Google's search results.

From my understanding, Make sure your video is precise and has all the tags and quality.

Do you know tools to create video sitemaps?

Anyone have any more tips about this? is it worth fixing? I think my traffic has gone down a lot on some of my sites due to this issue

I mostly run tube sites and a lot of video indexing isn't happening due to this error
