Why videos in pages aren't indexed

Hi there
what do you mean by you didn't embed them correctly? I have the same problem. I'm embedding videos, the page containing the video is INDEXED but the video is not.RodTurnerUK

Also I had this problem many times on blog posts on my site when I included in the body. Maybe there is a schema or something to indicate the video being the primary content.

I had the same problem, I assumed because I'm embedding them they wont appear in the "video" section in google search results.

I'm not sure, but I think there are different methods of embedding (iframe, in-content, etc). It's possible that he used the iframe option, but I don't know since I've not embedded videos in my content in years, so I'm not sure, I just mentioned some potential culprits...Hi there
It could also be that google treats embedded videos as a different thing so you probably need to index and SEO the videos separately

This has been an issue since google's update how it treats videos on pages.
Now since you're embedding video on your blogpost or page it's not the main content.
But if you add the term 'video' to the title & url of the blogpost/page and use video schema it works.
I read about this on various places and on implementing this it did work for most blogposts.
Although some didn't work.
You can give this method a try and update us with your results.
