I am just researching a little and used taylor swift's social accounts to see the difference.

Basically she has approx the same amount of fans on each social network.

74.8M Facebook Likes
77.5M Instagram Followers
77.3M Twitter Followers

Just by looking at the posts I estimated that she gets approx 50K likes on her tweets, which is 0.065% engagement
She posted a cat photo on both her FB and IG accounts and she got 300K and 1.6M Likes respectively which is 0.4% and 2.06% engagement

Basically what I am saying is why do people still use twitter as marketing and monetization? Am i missing something here about twitter please?

With fb engagement sucking so bad, it is still 16 TIMES Better than twitter.

Note: Most probably as IG keeps growing it will change its algorithm to meet that of fb since they own it themselves, so as to encourage people to waste money on adverts.

Hello,

[h=2]why use twitter for marketing when engagement sck?[/h]

Easy: Facebook loves to ban accounts, twitter, less (except when it's a cleaning wave).

For Instagram, I don't know, but I read there and there that it's very ban-friendly, too.

Instagram doesn't let you post live links. Twitter does. On Twitter there can be a lot of "invisible engagement" in the form of clicks.
