Dropshipping can be done, but you can't base your whole business forever on it. You have to eventually buy your stock. You don;t have to pack and ship it yourself as you can use a fullfillment warehouse. that all costs money.
But the most important thing to understand here is that it is hard to impossible to make money using any of the dropshippers that advetise everywhere. Their wholesale prices are not really wholesale and are many times higher than a discount retailer's retail prices.
they way you find a dropshipper is to approach a wholesaler, who already retails, and buy some stock from them a couple of times. Then, once you have made a couple of order from them, approach them about dropshipping. BUT DON'T USE the word dropshipping. Ask them if they would be interested in shipping products directly to your retail customers. When you use the word dropship, they tag you as an idiot looking to make money doing nothing.
Lastly, you have to understand that if they do retail themselves, you will have to agree that they blindly dropship, meaning your customer does not know it is coming from them.
BUt in the end, be wary of dropshipper who also retail themselves as they will most likely go behind your back and contact your buyer through mailing ads or whatnot and steal them from you.
