Why twitter limits the characteristics in Our Posts?

As you may be aware, Twitter has certain limitations on the features of its posts. In my opinion, this may not be beneficial for everyone. I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter and if you have any ideas or solutions to overcome these limitations.
 
To reduce downtime and error pages. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any solution to overcome these limitations.

Twitter limits tweet length for clarity. Twitter's initial 140-character limit made tweets easy to disseminate and read and forced users to get creative. Twitter now allows 280 characters, but it still emphasizes brevity. Restricting scrolling speeds up reading and engaging.

As you stated, Twitter is giving a small space for content creators.

IIRC, Elon mentioned something about adding a greater character limit or some such. It was around the same time he announced a possible "Edit Tweet" feature.
