Hey guys....I'm just getting started with PPC and just had a quick question...

Why does it offer to limit your daily spend? Initially I thought its because you may want to ration your money out but then I thought...aren't people basically just going to not be clicking on your ads until the next day...and essentially you want people clicking on your ads all the time right?

Your money may go quicker but ultimately your probably going to get the same amount of clicks?

Let me know if I'm missing something here...

It's just an added option that gives you more control over your spending. For example, your budget is $1000 and you are just starting. If you don't set a daily (and other) limits, you may find yourself burning through your entire budget within a couple of hours... and not making any money, because your ads/funnels weren't tested and optimized. Also, you won't know if there is any daily (or hourly) pattern in your ads' performance. On the other hand, by setting a daily limit, you know exactly how much you will spend per day and you will get a more balanced picture of how your ads are performing over time. This will allow you to better plan your next moves. Makes sense?

Click fraud. If you throttle your clicks , you make harder for some hater to burn hole in your pocket

Oh right...is this the sole purpose of this? I reached my daily limit a few times and had the thought i mentioned in my OP so i just bumped up the daily limit...the clicks seemed to be going up at a steady pace though...that is to say...i dont think i have been a victim of click fraud...yet...

and sub001...i only just saw your post haha...yes this does make sense!

    Thanks!
