I do not know why almost everyone here is so hyped-up about DR.
A domain with much lower DR can have many featured snippets (and other ranking successes). But surely, keep paying for your expensive subscriptions...
BTW, this website has many featured snippets becasue of a great structure of their posts, having right titles--answering the questions of the query, using 2020 in the titles, etc.

Use Table Of Contents plugin and structure your content in repeating style to make it appear as a list for Google.

that and also using FAQ rich snippet. i have seen the use of faq rich snippet a lot lately and google giving them magical zero spot.

I was using this as a case study for my own backlink checker that i'm developing, as well as a few mainstream stuff as a second opinion. It's an aged domain but there is no sign of any really significant juice. I don't know anything about the niche, personally, but it seems optimized for it's purpose and it's network with a TON of relevant content. No tricks here at as far as I can tell.

When you try to outrank competition, you are also potentially risking another person's livelihood. And that's the whole point of SEO. I dont get your point.
