My Pinterest account shows 165 link clicks on 5th Sep, however the GSC on same day shows only 80 page views.
Can some expert explain why there is a difference?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you meant Google Analytics not Google search console.

I think there's always discrepancies between the stats recorded by social media platforms and ones recorded by Google analytics, this is because social media platforms sometimes record bot clicks, also, some users drop off before reaching your site.

So, analytics only records those that actually got on your site.

Pinterest records both the feed/board click AND the ultimate url clicks as the same....which is clearly demonstrated if you run Promoted Pins.

GA filter out bots clicks, Pinterest not. You can try to allow bot clicks on GA settings.
